We offer outpatient and inpatient treatment for those who have psychiatric/ behavioural problems. Male and female patients are treated in separate wards, in a totally secure environment, with individual attention and nursing care bestowed to them.

1. Treatment for adult psychiatric disorders

7. Pharmacy
The hospital also has a well-stocked pharmacy which functions round the clock, on all days of the week.
8. Other Services
We conduct medical camps, for periodic health checks for the people in and around the district. Charity services free medical service or reduction in the treatment charges are made available to the poor and deserving people. Free medicines are given to those patients who are unable to comply with the prescribed treatment due to financial constraints As a part of community Psychiatry, every Saturday providing free consultation & medicines in remote village areas and in other Psychiatric rehabilitation centers nearby .
9. TRAINING PROGRAMMES
We aim at providing quality atmosphere for assimilation and learning to those who wish to pursue a career in the area of mental health treatment and care. Graduate and Post graduate students of Nursing, Psychology, Social Work and other streams of instruction, from various institutions in and out of Kerala, undergo their clinical experience and course placement in Psychiatry and Mental Health here.
10. COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMMES
We conduct medical camps, for the people in and around the district. We also have regular community outreach programmes, awareness classes, workshops and training for parents, teachers community workers and other public.
11. GROUP MEETINGS AND FORUMS
Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) meetings are held every Saturday in which the patients share their experiences and discuss their problems. A local cell of the AA functions here on every second Saturday of the month. Schizophrenia and Bipolar Mood Disorder Caregivers’ Group meetings are held alternately on every third Friday of the month where the caregivers of patients come together to learn more about their ward’s illness, share their experiences and clear their doubts with the experts.
